Part 13
“Lizzie?” Anya’s jaw dropped. She looked back and forth between the newcomer and Buffy. “Oh my, I never realized. You look just like Buffy.”
“Okay, what’s going on here?” Buffy asked. She whispered to Spike. “I hope it’s a good one, because this day just keeps getting weirder and weirder.”
“It’s Sunnydale, pet. It’s always weird.”
Anya ignored Spike and Buffy as she crossed the room to give Elizabeth a hug. “Hoffy was really mad at me back in the 1860’s. So, he punished me by having me live in an alternate dimension for a few decades. While I was there I got pregnant, and I had a daughter. That’s Lizzie here.”
“But she’s Elizabeth the Bloody instead of Spike,” Dawn commented. “Was she turned by Drusilla too?”
“Yes, I was, but I only hung around till I met up with my first Slayer.” Elizabeth shrugged. “Then, I ventured out on my own. Didn’t need them anymore. Hell, didn’t even think about them until I rolled into our own little version of Sunnydale, and there was Gramps, sniffing around Will here.”
“How come you never mentioned children before?” Xander asked. His expression resembled a deer caught in the headlights of a semi-truck barreling down a back road at 80-mph. “Do you want more?”
Anya patted Xander’s arm. “Hoffy told me that Lizzie was dead.”
“She is dead,” William replied.
“I mean dead-dead. Not undead,” Anya huffed.
“Okay, all this is fine and well, but I have a question,” Dawn announced. “Why is Angel pregnant? I mean, two pregnant Angels is high up on that ‘Sunnydale is weird’ scale. Not to mention Cordelia, Drusilla, and Darla are pregnant too.”
Anya shook her head in amazement. “Why don’t you start at the beginning and fill me in?”
“Okay,” Buffy agreed. “Angel’s really, really pregnant, and I made him human by touching his arm.”
“Guess who’s the father?” Xander broke in.
“I have no clue.”
“Giles!” Xander chortled. He continued to giggle at the shocked look on Anya’s face. Elizabeth and William didn’t seem all that surprised. Maybe Giles impregnated that Angel too. “I know. When Giles showed up at the hotel, they had sex.”
“Then, Darla, Drusilla, and Cordelia showed up. They’re preggo too.” Dawn was unable to contain her mirth, and soon she was laughing along with Xander.
“We saw Lizzie and William after that,” Spike said. “It’s like being trapped in some bizarre parody.”
“Wonder if Wesley has any ideas?” Buffy wrinkled her nose. She was a bit leery about bringing anyone else in on the weirdness.
“Maybe we should call him?” Dawn suggested through her giggles.
