Fic Meme, Day 8
Sep. 29th, 2011 06:11 pm8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs
I love OCs. I have a lot (100+) that litter the Sunnydale landscape. I try not to make them too all knowing. We have Anya for that. LOL Really what I try to do with my OCs is give them a history that I use for them no matter what story. Like Reginald Bey. He's a Watcher that has mainly worked in the main archive. He's the youngest son of a sheik and his mother is British. Not being in direct line to take over for his father, he spent his childhood in England with his grandparents who are involved with the Council. He knew Giles and Ethan in school. He likes Giles, but not Ethan. He superficially resembles Oded Fehr. http://www.perfectpeople.net/photo-picture-image-media/Oded-Fehr-400x395-20kb-media-1236-media-85028-1067952302.jpg Oh, and if he's in the story with Joyce Summers, he really falls for her. LOL
