“Fix me!” Spike growled at the trembling Initiative doctor.

That bint Harmony would have fallen for whatever poncy trick the doctor might have pulled while Spike’s attention was occupied, but not the Slayer. Having the Slayer at his back was the best thing he’d ever experienced.

“I don’t know if I can,” the doctor replied bravely. “It’s not that simple.”

“He said to fix him.” Buffy stepped closer to the doctor. “I want him the way he was before.”

“But he’ll kill you!” the doctor protested.

“Someone already did!” Buffy’s game face slipped into place. “Now do what I said.”
